preferred FreeBSD OS and options for polygraph 2.8.1

Hey Folks,

 

What's the preferred version of FreeBSD for running polygraph 2.8.1 ?
And is http://www.measurement-factory.com/docs/FreeBSD/ still up to
date? Or are there any other OS modifications that are desirable for
client or server sides?
