Vlan tagging should have been in 4.3-RELEASE.
To check, just go into /usr/src/sys/i386/LINT, and see if
there is
pseudo-device vlan 1 #VLAN support
.. somewhere there.
I'm pretty sure that the 4.4-REL and above code trees have
more modular vlan support, but I'm pretty dead sure that the
vlan code existed in 4.3-REL for the fxp.
If you need a hand then just shout - I run lots of FreeBSD boxes
for a living, and quite a few of them are acting as vlan routers
over fxp cards. :-)
