Dear All,
The results of the Fourth Cache-off are now available! You can
find the Official Report at http://www.measurement-factory.com/results/
This cache-off features both forward proxy (PolyMix-4) and
surrogate (aka reverse proxy or Web accelerator; WebAxe-4) tests and
workloads. Since the last cache-off in October 2000, we have added
many new workload features to make the tests more realistic. We hope
that these new results will be useful in your product purchasing or
upgrade decisions.
Interestingly enough, this cache-off was dominated by non-US
companies. Unfortunately, US marketing leaders have chosen not to
disclose their performance at this time, citing lack of resources and
shabby economy. We will be working with individual vendors to change
this situation and publish more up-to-date results. Several cache-off
participants will also be publishing results for products not tested
at the event. As always, we encourage every vendor to publish their
PolyMix-4 and WebAxe-4 performance.
