Dear all,
As many of you know, we are working on a certification program
for PolyMix-3 tests. Current PolyMix-3 certification terms were made
available together with the third cache-off results. Those terms were
quite restrictive and also temporary; they were set to expire by the
end of this month:

We have also been working on the long-term certification
program that is supposed to kick in after the current terms expire.
This certification program will shape many benchmarking activities
between and at the cache-offs. It will affect most of the vendors:
active participants, occasional contributors, and even those that are
standing aside for now. We have spent a lot of time documenting
current practices and researching possible options.

Please visit the page above, read the discussion, and let us
know your preferences. As you will see, there are several important
choices that we will need to make to finalize the certification terms.
We have not made those choices yet and are seeking your feedback.
Our plan is to listen to your opinions, finalize the terms,
translate them to legalese, produce logo "stickers", and start
promoting the certification program.
Thank you,
Alex.
P.S. This message was first sent to third cache-off participants only
for the first round of feedback. Thanks to all who responded!
We now seek wider coverage and encourage all interested parties
to comment on this important issue. Please reply directly to us.
