In creating reports from my log files, I have encountered an error that puzzles me. I installed Gnuplot and the related libraries on a system here, and they worked perfectly for about 2 weeks, then started refusing to plot, seemingly with no reason, returning the following error:
./plot_traces: plotting: '/tmp/polyrep/somedir/somefile.png'
Cannot open load file '-persist'
line 0: (no such file or directory)
I have looked around in the scripts for references to this -persist option/file, but have not found it there, and, having little to know experience with gnuplot, really have no idea what's going on.
