When I run polygraph 2.x.x after adding a proxy (apache proxy in this
case) The client seems
to be running fine and making connections and displaying some
statistics...but the server just displays
756757676.10092| waiting for traffic
The display in the server does not progress beyond this point.
I am using my-simple.pg as the workload as described in the user
manual:simple tests document
under section --3.Adding a proxy
The following are my observations:-
1. I confirmed that the client is making requests to the proxy by doing
netstat -na | grep 8080.
2. Using tcpdump I also checked up that a lot of traffic is being
generated on the proxy by the polysrv and polyclt(which are running
on the same m/c)
3. Ran Ploysrv and Polyclt using strace utility....the display in both
the client and server windows
displays poll(.....) apart from read( )and write( ).It seems to halt
at poll(.) for a little time and then scrolls
up and the cycle repeats.Probably this means that the the server and
client are both reading and writing
.......this is what we want afterall...but still the server does
not display anything ?????Please advvise what to do
4. The proxy is working fine and has been tested independently.
Polysrv Client and Server are run on machine 192.9.291.23 (i.e they both
run on the same machine)
Apache Proxy runs on machine 220.127.116.11 .All these are linux machines
running Linux kernel 2.2.12
How can I make the server display some statistics???
or am I doing something fundamentally wrong in my setup?
BTW running polygraph without a proxy runs just fine and generates
statistics as described in your user manual.
Requesting for an early reply.
warm regards and thanks,
