Job Description:
Engineer in the Cache Engineering team responsible for developing
enhancements for and integrating vendor Internet Traffic Appliance software
solutions with Dell servers and appliances.
Skill Set:
The individual will be working on Dell's Internet Caching Appliance
solutions team and will be responsible for integration / implementation of
product features, development of required test plans to be conducted locally
and in conjunction with technology partners, and developing technical
content, such as sizing information, for external collateral. Specific
technology areas requiring Dell integration, customization, and collateral
include systems management, installation, and performance / sizing
information. Experience in Polygraph and web bench benchmarking tools is
desired. Individual responsibilities include developing product
requirements, translating requirements to actionable deliverables and
developing / delivering assigned components of the total solution.
Candidate will work closely with Dell internal development teams and vendors
to create world-class Internet Caching appliance solutions for Dell
customers. The ideal candidate will have 4-6 years experience with network
and Internet technologies including routers, switches, proxies, etc. 5+
years experience in product development / architecture. The candidate
should have demonstrated, hands-on experience with both the concepts and
real-world deployment & administration of these technologies. Additionally,
specific experience in application software and/or driver development on
Novell NetWare 5, Unix/Linux or BSD-OS is beneficial. The candidate must
possess a BSEE, BSCS, BSCE or equivalent experience.
