We would like to announce a new open-for-subscription mailing list:
cdd@ircache.net
The CDD list is created on request from several vendors and is dedicated
to discussions about performance benchmarking of Content Distribution
and Delivery systems. While any Web server can be considered a CDD
system, the list will probably concentrate on benchmarking CDD products
that deliver large objects such as multimedia streams or, perhaps, large
software distributions. The time will tell if further specialization
will be necessary.
To subscribe, send a message with the word "subscribe" to
cdd-request@ircache.net. To unsubscribe, send a message with the word
"unsubscribe" to cdd-request@ircache.net and make sure to send the
message from the subscription address. An archive of the list will be
available as we get more traffic.
A performance benchmarking BOF will be held during the fifth Web Caching
Workshop in Lisbon. Please attend if you are around!
