Thank you for the quick help. Using the 2.2.3 version does
indeed work correctly, aside from some compile problems.
However, all of the compile problems (getc() macro definition
in {I,O}Log.h files and an undefined INT_MAX somewhere)
are corrected in the 2.2.4 files.

complaint about similar behavior in the 2.2.4 version. On the other
hand, we have a few installations of the same version that run just
fine. Give 2.2.3 a shot and let us know if that solves your problem.
